I would like to install a 5.0mm spacer on my fronts to get the look I desire - have the assembly more flush to the fender. 5.0mm seems thin and I'm wondering if it's really worth the effort strengthwise (assuming aluminum). I could have it custom made with high strength stainless steel but that seems to me like overkill. Theoretically, with sufficient bolt torque, the spacer shouldn't see anything other than compression onto the hub. But that's theory and we know how we all drive!
